Introducing Performer’s Prep at MHVS

At Maia Hendrickx Vocal Studios, we are always looking for ways to support singers beyond their 1:1 lessons. Singing is more than just technique – it’s about communication, connection, and the ability to work confidently as part of an ensemble.

That’s why we’re introducing Performer’s Prep, a new series of group workshops taking place every term. These sessions are designed to go beyond individual tuition, giving singers the chance to build vital ensemble skills, practise analysing and critiquing performance, and experience the collaborative side of training that is so essential for the stage.

Performer’s Prep workshops are open to the public, so non-members are very welcome to join us. For MHVS members, these workshops are included at no extra cost as part of your membership.

What to Expect

Each Performer’s Prep focuses on a different area of performance.

Across the year, singers will have the opportunity to:

Explore character and storytelling through song

Develop harmony skills and ensemble awareness

Gain confidence in presenting their work to others

Who Are These For?

Performer’s Prep workshops are open to singers aged 12+ with an interest in Musical Theatre, performance, or ensemble singing.

Whether you’re preparing for auditions, working towards professional goals, or simply want to grow your skills and confidence, these workshops will provide valuable experience and insight.

Performer’s Prep is about stepping beyond the individual lesson, building ensemble and performance skills, and preparing singers for the realities of performing. We can’t wait to welcome you to these sessions.
